ANNUAL INSPECTIONS - PART II

A notice was delivered to members on the weekend informing us that changing batteries in smoke detectors is MANDATORY when the clock changes back to Standard Time and that they will be inspected when Unit Inspections start on November 4th.  I wonder how Property Management will be able to determine whether you did or did not change the batteries as ordered.

More precise notices of inspection are being delved out.  Whether members are home or not, their units are going to be inspected between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. - no alternative dates will be made and that photos may be taken.  I can assure you that Board Members will not have to adhere to this strict protocol if their units are inspected at all.

If any Work Orders are generated because of the inspections, you can bet that some members will be charged back - for squirrels in walls, wear and tear of 15 yr. old carpets, bathroom taps, worn out counters ...
